Arthur Eisenkraft is Professor of Science Education and director of the Centre of Science and Mathematics in Context (COSMIC) at the University of Massachusetts Boston.  He has been president of the National Science Teachers Association and helped write the National Science Education Standards of the National Research Council (NRC).

Arthur will discuss current policy and practice in the United States and show how the Centre of Science and Mathematics in Context is delivering programmes to support teaching and learning in science and mathematics.
