Embodying mathematics

Posted on 6th March 2016

Embodying Mathematics is an innovative research collaboration between Complicite Theatre Company and the Sheffield Institute of Education. Together we are developing and evaluating curriculum and professional development activities and materials for KS2 Primary Mathematics.

The focus is on doing mathematics differently – using the body - informed by drama and physical theatre activities. Currently, the project is working with four schools in London. Further funding from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation means that the project will shortly be expanding to other areas.
